English Boxing – Year 8 (5ème)

We studied English boxing. First, we studied the vocabulary in English class (boxing equipment : mouth guard, boxing gloves, boxing shoes…). We played ‘Simon Says’ to practice the punches and the movements.

Then, we learnt the life of Muhammad Ali. We learnt that he was a boxer, he was an Olympic gold medallist and won the presidential medal of Freedom.

Finally, in PE, with our 2 teachers (the English and PE teachers), we practiced the different punches : jab, cross, hook and uppercut. We also worked on the movements (left to right, back and forth).
We had fun !
